One Drink Can Lead to Drunk Driving Accident According to Study

A new study shows that even one glass of alcohol could be enough to cause a drunk driving accident.

Examining records of drunk driving accidents over the past several years, the researchers at the University of California at San Diego found that a blood-alcohol content of just 0.01, which is less than the legal limit of 0.08, could seriously increase your chances of causing an accident.

In fact, the study revealed that no amount of alcohol was safe to drive with. Even drivers who had trace amounts of alcohol in their systems were 4.33 times more likely to cause an accident, versus 3.17 percent of sober drivers ( in regards to causing serious accidents.)
