Millions of Bees Released during Truck Accident

A bizarre truck accident caused millions of angry bees to be released on an interstate highway. For causes that are as yet unknown, a semi truck traveling down the highway carrying about 25 million bees as his cargo overturned. As a result of the crash the angry bees were unleashed and swarmed about the area. The driver and at least two law enforcement officers were stung but no serious injuries or deaths were reported as a result of the accident or the bee release.

Officials shut down the southbound lanes of the highway for several hours after the crash. Drivers traveling through the area are advised to keep their windows closed as the area is still heavily laden with un-captured bees. The hives being carried in the truck have been placed in a nearby pasture in the hope that the valuable bees will return. Beekeepers have been brought in to help handle the unusual situation. No other cars were involved in the accident and authorities are still trying to determine what caused the semi truck to roll.
