Head On Collision Reported in South Los Angeles

A head-on collision in South Los Angeles killed one man and injured two more.

According to police reports, a driver heading west on Manchester Avenue was trying to make a left onto Figueroa Street when he hit another car going east on the same street. The eastbound driver was brought to California Hospital Medical Center; he was pronounced dead a few hours later. There was one more passenger in that car who suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

The second driver was brought to a local hospital with mild injuries.

Police have yet to release the identities of the victims, but they did say that drugs nor alcohol are believed to be a factor in this car accident. In addition, nobody has been arrested or cited for the accident.
