Crash in Wilimington Sends Four to Hospital

A crash on MLK Parkway in Wilmington, NC sent one adult and three children to the hospital on Jan. 26 around 7:30 am.

Two vehicles collided at the top of an exit ramp, one of them being pushed across the median to be hit by an oncoming semi-truck. From what police officers can determine so far, the vehicle that is responsible for the accident had either failed to reduce speed or was following too closely.

At this time the conditions of the adult and children in the impacted vehicle are unknown. They were taken to a local hospital and are assumed to still be under treatment there. It is also not known whether they had been following North Carolina law and were wearing their seat belts.  In this state children under the age of 16 must wear seat belts as dictated by the North Carolina Child Passenger Safety Law, G.S. 20-137.1.

Anytime people have been injured during auto accident, they should work with a personal injury lawyer who can help them obtain monetary damages.
