NYPD Investigate Fatal Bicycle Accident

New York City police are investigating a fatal accident that happened recently when a man riding a bicycle was killed after being hit by two cars. 49-year-old V.L. was riding his bike south against northbound traffic on a busy weekday morning. A sedan traveling north struck him and sent V.L. and his bicycle flying into an intersection. He was then struck by a second car that was travelling west on the adjacent roadway. Emergency rescue arrived and pronounced him dead at the scene. No one else was injured and the drivers of both cars remained at the crash location. Police are continuing to look into the deadly accident and no drivers have been charged so far. Bicycle accidents can result in severe or fatal injuries.
