The suit against Townsend Foods involved a frozen product which caused 161 people across eight states to become ill. The product was removed from store shelves in May of this year after the CDC announced that it contained a Hepatitis A contamination. The CDC reported that 70 people were hospitalized with the disease after consuming the product.
