Elderly Man Hit by Car While on Scooter

An elderly man was struck and killed last week while riding his scooter. His identity was released by police as a 73-year-old man from Ramona. The victim was riding his scooter last Tuesday when he failed to stop for a stop sign. He proceeded into the intersection and was struck by a small vehicle. The driver of the vehicle did not have any time to avoid hitting the elderly man. By the time that paramedics arrived on the scene of the car accident, he had passed away.

Neither the driver nor the passenger of the second vehicle was hurt in the accident. At this time, the driver has not been charged.
