Off-Duty Officer Hit by Pickup Truck

A community came together to mourn the death of a police officer killed last week in San Diego.  The 26-year-old male victim was riding his bicycle while off-duty when he was hit by a pickup truck.

When officers arrived at the scene in Palm City, they found the officer had already passed away due to massive internal trauma. The driver and passenger of the pickup truck sustained minor injuries.

Those who knew the officer spoke about his bright future with the department and what a shock it was to lose him so unexpectedly.
