Man in Court After Hitting Firetruck

After hitting a fire truck over the weekend a man finds himself back in court on March 30.

According to local officials Frank Martinez, age and address unknown, was arraigned at the Youngstown Municipal Court this week on charges of failure to maintain marked lanes and failure to yield right way of to an emergency vehicle.

He will go to trial before Magistrate Anthony Sertick.

They will discuss the accident in which Martinez struck the fire department's rescue squad vehicle, caused it to roll over near Oak Street and Excelsior Avenue near the east side. As a result of the accident three firefighters were taken to local hospitals to be treated for minor injuries. A spare truck was called in to help the wrecked vehicle.
