Improper Lane Change Leads to Accident

After improperly changing lanes, a mother not only caused a two-car accident but also serious injuries to her own daughter.

Police reports show that the mother was heading westbound on Route 66 when she changed lanes, causing the accident. Their car was hit in the rear, causing it to spin around. The two-year-old girl was transported to Children's Hospital in Los Angeles; her mother was later checked for injuries at the UCLA Medical Center.

While police believe that the mother made a dangerous lane change, they are still investigating the car accident. The driver of the other vehicle was not injured in the accident.
