Shopping Leads to Slip and Fall Accident

An afternoon out shopping turned into a year's long nightmare for one woman injured in a slip and fall accident.

Janice Simpson was shopping at Market Basket No.6 on July 4, 2009 when she slipped and fell on a puddle of water near the ice machine.  Since then, she has suffered many injuries and painful years, and now hopes to be compensated for her injuries. Together with her legal team, Simpson is arguing that Market Basket No. 6 failed to provide warnings about the dangerous area.  Her counsel is also arguing that it appeared the defendant did not make any attempts to clean up the puddle.

Simpson is now asking for an undetermined amount for lost wages and disfigurement, mental pain and anguish, past and future medical bills, along with all court costs related to the case.
