Placer County Deputy Injured after Motorcycle Accident

A crash in North Auburn has left a Placer County Sheriff's Office deputy seriously injured this week. The deputy was heading west on Bell Road on his motorcycle when a car pulled out in front of him. It was driven by 83-year-old Hugh Morrill, of Auburn, who was leaving the Sutter Medical Center, according to California Highway Patrol Officer Dave Martinez.

Although the officer attempted to avoid the collision, he was instead hit by another car and thrown from his FJR 100 Yamaha. Emergency personnel rushed him to Sutter Roseville Medical Center by helicopter; the driver and passenger sustained undetermined injuries and treated at Sutter Auburn Faith Hospital.

Officer Martinez commented that the motorcyclist sustained major injuries and is still being treated.

If you have recently become the victim of a motorcycle accident then you need a personal injury lawyer to assist you if you have plans to seek compensation for your injuries.
