Fake Slip and Fall Cases on the Rise

Sources are reporting that Las Vegas is a hot spot for people making false slip and fall claims. A new study shows that more people are pretending to fall and act as if they can't get up so they can be compensated.

According to James Quiggle, a spokesperson for Coalition Against Insurance Fraud, "People's finances are crumbling, they're trying to shore up their income, and many normally honest people won't hesitate to try to bilk their insurance company."

He also said that there are a growing number of people staging fake car accidents so they can collect money from insurance companies on false medical bill.  People are also burning their possessions to receive payouts from insurance companies.

Fake slip and fall cases are up 57% nationally, but have quadrupled in the city of Las Vegas in recent years.

If you were involved in a real slip and fall accident, now is the time to discuss your case with a personal injury lawyer.
