Worker Seriously Injured at Peanut Plant

Tragedy in the workplace has taken the life of an eastern North Carolina man who was employed at a peanut processing plant. Local news station WITN-TV reports that Edenton Police rushed to the Seabrook Ingredients plant to discover the body of Steven Phelps, 25. At that time police could not say what the cause of death was, only that it was indeed a work-related accident.

Along with the Edenton Police department, the North Carolina Department of Labor will also investigate Phelps' death.
