Car Accident Kills Two People in North Carolina

Speed and alcohol are to blame for a car accident that killed two people on Highway 49 in North Carolina. Troopers from the North Carolina Highway Patrol were called to the scene where a car hit a tree, rolled over, hit another tree before splitting into two pieces. Two out of three of the passengers were killed.

The driver, Oscar Lopez Quiterio, 32, was taken to Carolina Medical Center with minor injuries. He was later charged with DWI, driving without an operator's license, reckless driving, and two counts of involuntary manslaughter. He is responsible for the death of Jorge Gonzalez, 28, and Otilio Chegues, 33.
