San Diego Man in Critical Condition after Motorcycle Accident

In San Diego, a 27 year old man was critically injured this past weekend after being involved in a motorcycle accident.  Police say that the man hit a median on College Avenue, which is south of San Diego State University.

The accident was reported at 1:54 AM on the 5100 block of San Diego State University.  A police watch sergeant said that the man was thrown from his bike and the motorcycle kept traveling 300 feet before stopping.

The man reportedly suffered serious head trauma and has to be rushed to Mercy Hospital.  He is reported as being in critical condition and police remain unsure as to whether or not he was wearing a helmet while riding.  Officers say they will continue to investigate the collision to see what caused it.
