Woman Sues Motorist in Deadly Bike Accident Case

A Texas woman has sued the man responsible for killing her father while he was out riding his bicycle in a wrongful death lawsuit.

Emma Reyes is claiming that Jonathan Woods' negligent driving caused the bicycle accident that ultimately cost her father his life.

In the lawsuit, Reyes claims that Woods failed to keep a proper lookout when he was driving that fateful day in April. Reyes says her father was riding his bicycle in a "cautious and prudent manner" when he came to an intersection.  The lawsuit alleges that Woods was driving at unsafe speeds when he passed through the intersection, striking and killing Reyes' father.

Reyes is seeking an unspecified amount in wrongful death damages.
