Nine bus riders were injured in a recent accident involving a Metro Transit bus. The accident occurred late in the morning while the bus was at a scheduled stop to load and unload passengers. A light blue sedan rear-ended the bus while it was stopped. Eight of the passengers with injuries were taken to local hospitals while the ninth injured bus rider was treated at the scene. The driver of the sedan that collided with the Metro bus was uninjured and none of the passenger injuries were considered life-threatening. Authorities have yet to state the cause of the accident and whether it was due to distracted driving.
Metro Transit authorities said the bus was not damaged by the collision and was still operable. The sedan, however, showed clear signs of the impact. If you or someone you care about has suffered an injury in a bus accident, speak with an

About Bus Accident Injuries
Injuries sustained in a bus accident can be severe. Most passenger buses do not offer seat belts or do not require their use. Even a minor collision could result in serious injuries for passengers including broken bones, concussion, bruises, lacerations, neck or spine injuries and more. Some injuries may not be immediately apparent so it is important to get treatment right away and any follow ups that a health care professional may recommend.
