Vicious Dogs Attack a 5 Year Old Boy in MO

In Kansas City, MO on Sunday, July 31st, 2010 a five year old boy is hospitalized after being viciously attacked by three Rottweilers. According to NBC Action news, the vicious attack occurred around 2:30 am at a home located in the 3500 block of Terrace Street.

The child's mother, whose identity remains withheld, reportedly went to clean the home of one of her clients, when she brought her young son with her. At some point in the evening, the mother fell asleep and later awoke to a commotion coming from the other room. After getting up to investigate, the woman found her son severely wounded and covered in blood. She scooped up her son and ran across the street to get help from the neighbors.

The neighbors commented on how the mother was holding a lifeless child in her arms, his legs were covered in puncture wounds and blood. The boy was rushed to Children's Mercy Hospital where he was treated for his injuries. A physician at the hospital was reported to tell police how the wounds were the worst he had ever seen as a result of an animal attack. The three Rottweillers, were detained by Animal Control officers and subsequently euthanized.
