Passengers Injured in Metro Transit Bus Accident

Nine bus riders were injured in a recent accident involving a Metro Transit bus. The accident occurred late in the morning while the bus was at a scheduled stop to load and unload passengers. A light blue sedan rear-ended the bus while it was stopped. Eight of the passengers with injuries were taken to local hospitals while the ninth injured bus rider was treated at the scene. The driver of the sedan that collided with the Metro bus was uninjured and none of the passenger injuries were considered life-threatening. Authorities have yet to state the cause of the accident and whether it was due to distracted driving.
