Woman Killed after Falling under Bus at Airport

C.H., 68 years old, was killed recently in a tragic accident at the Fort Lauderdale – Hollywood International Airport. The woman was a passenger in a car being driven by a family member. They were arriving at the airport to pick up C.H.s husband who had just flown in. The vehicle was in an arrivals traffic lane at Terminal 4 when her husband was apparently spotted standing at the sidewalk. The car stopped in traffic and C.H. got out to greet her husband. Moments later, the woman was walking back to the vehicle and reportedly tripped. She fell into an adjacent traffic lane as a charter bus was passing and she was run over. She suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. No one else was injured and the incident did not cause any vehicle to vehicle collisions.
