Pedestrian & Bicyclist Hit in Separate Accidents at Same Intersection

By De Castroverde Law Group  Jul. 10, 2013 11:30a

Two people were injured, one severely, in two different car accidents that occurred within moments of each other in the same intersection. Police and emergency personnel were responding to the first accident when the second crash happened. The first collision occurred around 12:00 pm at the intersection of Charleston and Lamb Boulevards. A vehicle traveling east on Charleston hit a pedestrian and then sped off from the scene. The pedestrian reportedly suffered only minor injuries. Officers were investigating that incident when a construction truck struck a man on a bike. The cyclist was rushed to the hospital in serious condition. The driver of the construction vehicle remained at the scene. There was no information concerning whether or not any charges were being filed against that driver. Authorities are continuing to search for the driver involved in the pedestrian accident. Consult with a personal injury lawyer about your rights if you were hurt in a car accident that was not your fault.

Unfortunately, Las Vegas has more than its fair share of motor vehicle accidents. The city has many high traffic areas, some of which stay busy 24 hours a day. This situation results in numerous pedestrian accidents, bicycle accidents, truck crashes, rear-end accidents, rollovers and any number of other car accidents. Recklessness, distracted drivers, intoxicated drivers and other negligence are often to blame for wrecks which result in severe injuries or even deaths. When such negligence causes injuries and loss to others then the responsible party may be held financially liable. You may be entitled to significant compensation for your pain, loss, medical bills, property damage, lost wages, loss of earning potential and other tangible or intangible losses.
