Truck Accident Results in Fatality

By Arnold & Itkin, LLP  Jan. 23, 2012 6:15p

The collision occurred when the pickup driver, heading north on the highway, suddenly swerved in an attempt to avoid the woman and her husband who were driving a Ford Escape southbound on the same highway. Although the trucker's swerve did successfully escape collision with the Ford, it resulted in a different and unexpected hit. The utility trailer that the truck was pulling swung round and slammed into the vehicle, entrapping the woman and her husband until rescue crews made it to the scene to pull them free.

The injured woman was immediately airlifted to a nearby hospital and treated for serious injuries. Shortly before 1 am on Monday, she was reported dead. Now, police investigations are under way to uncover the nature of the accident and its exact causes. As of now, all that is known is that three people were involved in the collision and the pickup driver was not harmed. Further investigation will need to be conducted before any more substantial evidence is unearthed, but the fact of the matter will remain the same: Another truck accident has ended in fatality. As such, it will be imperative for the husband and other survivors to obtain the sound legal representation of a truck accident lawyer as more evidence is brought to light and the case proceeds.
