Two Parties Blamed for ICU Nurse's Death

Two parties are being blamed for the death of an ICU nurse that occurred last year. According to the wrongful death lawsuit filed by her family, her death is the result of negligence on the behalf of one driver and her hometown. The victim, 44-year-old C.A.G., was driving her SUV on a highway when she was struck from behind by a semi-tractor trailer. The impact pushed her vehicle into a pole, killing her and injuring her two children. Since then, her family has filed the lawsuit against the truck driver, M.D., as well as his employer.

In addition, the family blames the city where the accident took place for installing a pole that did not collapse upon impact. Had the pole collapsed, the victim might have survived the accident. Instead, she was pinned to the pole and died as a result. According to police records, the truck driver was never even ticketed for the accident. Her family is asking for over $1 million in damages from both of the defendants. If you intend to move forward with a wrongful death claim, it is advised that you obtain the help of a personal injury lawyer in your area as soon as possible.
