One Hospitalized after Three Vehicle Accident

Running a red light can be dangerous for drivers and pedestrians alike. A three-vehicle accident in Richmond led to several people being hospitalized due to the negligence of one driver. Police were called to the scene of a car accident early last week when a vehicle heading west struck a van heading north. The impact of the crash was severe enough to cause the van to flip over onto its side. As the van was rolling, the vehicle that went through the red light also struck another passenger vehicle in the process.

Several people were injured as a result of the car accident. The woman who ran the red light, 70-year-old K.M. of North Carolina, was charged with disregarding a red light. She could face additional charges pending investigation of the multiple-vehicle accident. Traffic was delayed for over an hour while police, EMTs and emergency road crews were called to clear the area. Hurt during an auto accident?
