One Dead and Four Injured after Car Crash

A multiple-vehicle pileup in Sorrento Valley left one person dead and four injured. Police are still searching for one of the drivers involved in the accident, who is now being labeled as a hit-and-run driver. Three of the victims were part of a family traveling to Disneyland. Their vehicle was struck by a SUV who was swerving to avoid an accident with another vehicle. The driver of the SUV claims that the third driver was trying to get into her lane without leaving enough room for both vehicles to co-occupy it.

The SUV carrying the family was forced off the roadway, the impact of the collision sending it rolling over several times. It finally came to a stop, but it was hanging over the edge of an overpass. Luckily, a construction crew was directly underneath and was able to use a forklift to prop up the other end of the vehicle. At least one of the victims was reported to have sustained a serious head injury in the crash. Hurt during a major car accident?
