Woman Sues Casino for Slip and Fall

Large businesses and corporations are often sued by people claiming to have been injured in slip and fall accidents. While most of these cases get settled out of court, one business is refusing to accept the claim. A casino in St. Clair County has a team of attorneys prepared to take on a woman that claims to have been injured last July. She filed a lawsuit against the casino stating that she slipped and fell in a bathroom stall. A plumbing problem reportedly caused a puddle of water to collect on the floor, causing the woman to injure herself.

The incident was so bad that the woman was taken to a hospital and required surgery and an extended stay while she recovered. Since the casino failed to remedy the problem or warn about the dangers of the slippery floor the woman is asking for $50,000 to pay for court costs and medical bills. Were you injured during a slip and fall? If so, take the time to discuss your legal options and rights with a personal injury lawyer.
