Pedestrian Accident Takes Lives of Two People

Police in South Carolina are still investigating the pedestrian accident that took the lives of two people. The victims were killed instantly by a driving on the highway where they were walking.

State troopers were called to the scene of a car accident that involved two pedestrians. Based on eyewitness testimony and a statement from the 25-year-old male driver, the two people were walking along the side of the roadway at night. The man did not see them in time to avoid hitting them with his vehicle. At this time, no charges have been filed against the driver. Nobody else was injured in the accident.

The victims were a 36-year-old male and a 35-year-old woman that were married to one another. It is uncertain why they were walking in the road. Officers will continue the investigation until they are satisfied that the driver was in no way to blame for the fatal pedestrian accident.
