A fiery truck accident has left one truck driver dead and another injured. A 45-year-old truck driver was navigating his tractor-trailer down a local highway when he hit the rear end of the tractor-trailer in front of him. The driver of the rear tractor-trailer was killed during the collision when his fuel cells ignited and engulfed the truck in flames. The man in the truck that was hit, a 47-year-old driver, was taken to a local hospital and treated for minor injuries as a result of the collision. He was later released.

The accident occurred and the early hours of a Thursday morning and caused three miles of the southbound portion of the highway to be shut down. The highway was not reopened until late that afternoon. Investigators are trying to determine what caused the man who was killed to collide with the second tractor-trailer.
