Construction Accident Victim Identified

The victim of a fatal construction accident has been identified in New Jersey.

The 20-year-old male was working on a site in West York when he was struck by a falling piece of equipment. Although an official report has not been released, it is believed that the young man was operating a piece of heavy machinery when high winds caused it to teeter. The man jumped from the vehicle and tried to run away but it fell on top of him, causing near-instant death.

As with any construction accident, a member of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration is likely to be dispatched to the scene. That person will determined whether the site is safe for other workers to resume operations or whether it needs to be shut down temporarily, or even permanently.

If you have recently been hurt in a construction accident, you are not alone. Instead of suffering, learn about your legal options by calling a personal injury lawyer.  In some cases, you can file a personal injury claim to seek damages.
