Bicyclists Meet to Honor Victims

In order to honor those who have been hurt or killed in a bicycle accident, over 100 bicyclists met in downtown Alexandria last weekend.

One of the bicyclists, Brad Dumm, lost his son in a bike accident. He commented that "One of the things we are so moved by are people we don't even know that came [...] Losing a child is very difficult, I don't care how old they are. I wish no one has to go through it." Bikers from in and around Alexandria came with ribbons on their arms to bike a mile through downtown Alexandria, all in complete silence. This was to honor the family, friends and community members that had been lost or injured in bicycle accidents.

The Ride of Silence is designed to raise awareness about bicycle-vehicle safety, and to entreat people to share the road with bikers.

If you have recently been injured in a bicycle accident, you can get help. Call a personal injury lawyer now to discuss the details of your case.
