Wrongful Death Lawsuit Dismissed Against Walt Disney

A wrongful death lawsuit filed against Walt Disney World has been temporarily dismissed by a judge in Florida.

The suit, brought by the mother of Austin Wuennenberg, 21, was for the death that came as a result of a head-on collision between two trains on the monorail. The accident, which happened on July 5,2009, is believed to have caused multiple traumatic injuries to Wuennenberg who was riding the monorail at that time.

Further details about the suit have not been released to the public as the court documents are officially sealed. However, back in Dec. 2009 the U.S. Department of Labors Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) fined the park $44,000, possibly for the train accident.
