Fairfield Railroad Station Facing Slip and Fall Lawsuit

A slip at the Fairfield Railroad Station last January is now at the center of a slip and fall lawsuit against the town as a whole.

According to the notice of intent filed by Aimee Renaud, the wife of Michael Sohn is planning on suing the town. This is due to a slip and fall accident that happened where a patch of ice on the westbound side of the station was present and not properly identified as dangerous to passersby. In a letter to the Metro-North Renaud wrote that her ankle "instantly swelled to the size of a baseball and turned black and blue from my toes all the way up to my ankle." She went on to say that she had an "avulsion at the talus bone," which in layman's terms means that she snapped a tendon in the fall.

Even though the town had just suffered from a bad snowfall Renaud also wrote that there were no police or emergency personnel present to assist her or warn her about the ice.

If you have been injured in a slip and fall accident then there is no time to waste in calling a personal injury lawyer now. Get the help you need and deserve by having an attorney on your side during your case.
