Little Girl Killed While Learning to Ride Bicycle

A little girl learning how to ride her bike was killed last weekend on a bicycle course.

Police reports show that the victim, a 4-year-old girl, was riding her 50cc Yamaha bike, complete with training wheels, when one of the tires hit a tractor trailer next to the course. As a result, the girl flipped off of her bike and was pronounced dead shortly after at Lodi Hospital. Despite wearing all of the necessary protective gear - a full head helmet, gloves, boots and chest protection - the damage to her body was too great to repair.

At this time the Medina County Sheriff's Department is not releasing the victim's name. They are, however, still conducting an investigation into her death.

Bike accidents can lead to more than just physical suffering.  If you were harmed during a bicycle accident, consider discussing your legal options with a personal injury lawyer today.
