Fatal Pedestrian Accident Shocks Town

A fatal pedestrian accident shocked the town of Swansea last weekend.

According to state police reports, the pedestrian, Chrisie J. Wallace, 40, was hit and killed by 48-year-old Julian Juan. State troopers were already on their way to the accident, which happened just east of Exit 2, when Juan himself called to report that he had hit something in the right lane. When officers arrived they quickly shut down the other lanes to investigate the pedestrian accident.

At this time nobody has been charged or arrested for the accident. The police are still investigating why Wallace was in the roadway at that time. Troop D of the Massachusetts State Police is working with the State Police Collision and Reconstruction Section, as well as the State Police Crime Scene Services Station, to discover the cause of the accident.
