Driver Fatigue May Have Led to Bus Accident

The bus accident that took the life of four and injured at least 50 more is now being blamed on driver fatigue.

According to the Virginia state police department, the driver of a Sky Express bus, 37-year-old Kin Yiu Cheng, was taken into custody on charges of reckless driving this week. He was driving on his regular route, along Interstate 95, when the bus crashed. It was heading to New York and was just 30 miles north of Richmond at the time.

Police reports show that four female passengers lost their lives in the bus accident, while 54 more passengers were brought to local hospitals to be treated for minor to life-threatening accidents.

When you are injured in an accident caused by someone else, you may want to discuss your personal injury case and options with a local personal injury lawyer.  In some cases, you may be allowed to file a lawsuit to collect compensation for your medical expenses, lost wages, and pain and suffering.
