Community Mourns Loss of 3 Teens

A community in northern Wake County is dealing with the tragic loss of three teens and the injury of another.

According to the North Carolina Highway Patrol, four teenagers were riding in a car when the driver, 16-year-old Austin Flowers, lost control of his vehicle. It ran off the road and hit a tree, taking Flowers life, along with 17-year-old Matthew Speight and 16-year-old Lane Meyers. All four boys attended the Wake Forest-Rolesville High School.

The remaining victim, Brendon Pierce, 16, is being treated at WakeMed Hospital. He is currently listed as being in critical condition.
