Nursing Home Abuse Caught on Tape

Another case of nursing home abuse is caught on hidden camera, revealing the torture of an elderly Alzheimer's patient in Cleveland.

Police were shown footage of the 78-year-old female victim being struck in the face, and then thrown violently onto the bed, all at the hands of her regular caretaker. Another camera hidden in the same nursing home shows a different staff member, a nurse's aide, striking a patient, while a co-worker looks on and does nothing to intervene. The first abuser has been arrested on charges of felony assault following a criminal investigation into the nursing home abuse.

The hidden camera was set up by the victim's son, who feared that his mother was being abused at her nursing home. This was only after he attempted to speak to officials about the abuse, who refused to set up their own secret camera.
