Tragedy Hits during Serious Motorcycle Accident

Tragedy struck on US-40 when a motorcycle veered into oncoming traffic for unknown reasons. Eric F. Robben, 39, was riding his motorcycle when it drifted into the eastbound lanes before winding up in a ditch. Officers with the Kansas Highway Patrol reported that the motorcycle flipped several times before finally ejecting Robben; he was not wearing a helmet at the time. This happened around 5 p.m. on Saturday at US -40 mile marker 63.6.

Emergency personnel took him to a nearby hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
