Three Way Car-Motorcycle Accident Under Investigation

A three-way car and motorcycle accident in Stratford is still being investigated by local police.

Two motorcycles were involved in the crash. Shane Morneau, 32, was driving one of the bikes and lost his life in the accident; his passenger, Lauren LaFlamme, also died as a result of the crash. Both were pronounced dead at the scene by Stratford EMS. An autopsy performed on Morneau later revealed that he died from multiple blunt impact injuries, while LeFlamme perished from her multiple blunt, traumatic injuries.

The second motorcycle was driven by a young male joined by Christina Rossi; both were transported to Bridgeport Hospital. Rossi was listed as being in fair condition, while the male driver's conditions are unknown. According to police reports, the car was heading south on Main Street while the two bikes were going northbound. Morneau's bike collided head on with the car near the center line of the highway, causing the motorcycle to explode in flames. It was still ablaze when emergency personnel arrived at the scene.
