Six Students in Hospital after Bus Accident

After a school bus was rear-ended by another vehicle, six students were transported to the hospital last week.

The bus accident happened around 6:55 a.m. on Thursday where Belmont and Brawley Avenues meet. According to California Highway Patrol spokesman Axel Reyes, the second vehicle was operated by a female who is currently under investigation for the possible use of narcotics while operating her vehicle. 

The six students, from Central High School, were taken to and treated at Community Regional Medical Center for minor injuries. The driver of the second vehicle was also treated for minor injuries.
