Fatal Truck Accident Takes Place in California

Troopers with the California Highway department were called out to an accident on Highway 129 last weekend for a fatal truck accident. 

According to officer Grant Boles, the loaded big rig cement truck driver lost control of his vehicle. It traveled across the eastbound lane, fell over and hit a tree. The driver, from Watsonville, was declared dead on the scene. Boles did not release the name of the trucking company as the driver's family had yet to be notified. 

Although the truck did not spill its contents onto the roadway, that portion of I 129 was expected to remain closed until officers could complete their investigation of the truck accident.
