Wrongful Death Settlement Reach for Families of Airplane Crash Victims

A wrongful death settlement has been reached between the families of at least five passengers that were involved in a plane crash in Buffalo, NY and the airlines they were passengers aboard.  The crash occurred last year when a passenger plane crashed into a home.  All 49 people aboard the plane and a man on the ground were killed.

Lawyers associated with the families said more settlements are to be expected before the wrongful death trial commences in 2012.  The terms of the settlements for the victims' families have been deemed confidential.

Continental, Pinnacle Airlines, and Pinnacles Colgan Air subsidiary have been named in the 39 total lawsuits that have been filed since Continental Connection Flight 3407 crashed on Feb. 12 2009.

The families' lawyers have also demanded that the cockpit voice recording be released.  The airlines have formally objected and a federal judge will present a ruling on the issue within a month.

Filing a wrongful death claim?  If so, now is the right time to seek the assistance of a personal injury lawyer.
