15 Year Old Suffers Injuries during Train Accident

In San Diego, California, local news sources say that a 15-year-old girl was hit by a coaster train on Thursday at approximately 6:30 PM. The girl and her brother were trespassing near the train tracks in the Midtown area when the girl was harmed.

Police took the victim to USD Medical Center and it is said that her injuries were not life-threatening.

The Sheriff's Department said that the two had been running adjacent to the San Diego Trolley tracks when the girl allegedly ran off the tracks and into the train's path as it approached her with its horns blaring.  Her 16-year-old brother escaped uninjured.

Local media outlets said that after the train stopped, it blocked traffic for 1 1/2 hours and effective access to two parking lots that are meant to serve Lindbergh Field passengers.
