Pedestrian Killed on Saturday

In the state of Illinois, one person has been killed during a hit-and-run accident in Clinton County.  Local law enforcement officers say the accident took place on Friday at 10:30 PM on North Emerald Road, which is near the town of Keysport.

Allegedly, the driver who caused the accident hit a pedestrian and fled the scene instead of stopping.  The pedestrian was 20-year-old Samatha Dycus of Missouri.  At the time of the collision, she had been camping with her brother, her brother's girlfriend and her boyfriend.

Following the pedestrian accident, the driver turned himself in to the Clinton County Sheriff's Department on Saturday evening.  It is said that the police department will for its report to the Clinton County States Attorney's office for formal charges.

At this time, the name of the suspect has not been released, but may be when formal charges are filed.

If you have been injured during a pedestrian accident, now is the time to get help and legal representation from a personal injury lawyer.
