Worker Killed by SUV

A PennDOT employee was struck and killed by an SUV that was passing through the construction zone. Thomas R. Allen was a flagger for the construction site and was hit by the vehicle when it swerved right to avoid stopped traffic. The SUV then headed up an embankment where Allen was. He was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. An investigation is currently underway and it is unclear if charges will be filed.
