SUV Driver Hits Pack of Bicyclists in North Carolina

North Carolina -- a 21 year old man by the name of Daniel Burton Wilson was recently arrested by law enforcement and charged with six counts of hit and run.  According to police, Wilson ran his SUV into a group of bicyclists on a rural road this past Wednesday.

The bicycle accidents occurred at approximately 7:30 PM on Wednesday as group of 15 cyclists rode alongside one another.   They were out for their weekly ride when Wilson struck them.

Four of the bike riders had to be rushed to the hospital and had injures that ranged from a broken collar bone to concussions.  Police say that instead of stopping to check on the bikers, Wilson drove off.  However, later that evening, he turned himself in at a local police station.

At this time, police are still investigating and trying to figure out why Wilson his the pack of bikers head on.  Many of the bikers and bicyclists throughout the community seem shaken by the accident and have taken the opportunity to speak out against Wilson's reckless actions.
