Lawsuit Filed Against Driver of Hit & Run Accident

A Connecticut teenager is being sued for a hit & run accident that left a 7-year-old girl severely injured.

The lawsuit was filed against Leonita Scanlon, 18, by Karie H. Ogonoski, whose 7-year-old daughter Anna suffered multiple injuries all over her body, including fractures to her skull, ribs, pelvis, arms, and right leg. Anna is also suffering from damage to her eardrum and liver.

Ogonoski claims Scanlon was speeding when she hit the car and continued driving. She feels Scanlon should be held liable for the accident, and is seeking $15,000 in damages for extensive medical care and rehabilitation, in addition to Anna’s pain and suffering.
