Felony Hit and Run Leads to Death

In North Carolina, it is reported that a 22 year old man by the name of Aron Clifford Hallum was charged with felony hit and run.  His charges were filed after he caused an auto accident that led to the death of another motorist.  Hallum was also charged with driving with a revoked license.

Last week Friday, Hallum turned himself into police.  At this time, it is not clear whether Hallum is still in police custody or if he has retained the services of a defense attorney.

Police say that the victim, 36 year old Johnnie Nelson Faircloth Jr., died after his motorcycle was hit by Hallum.  He had a female passenger with him and she reportedly suffered non-life threatening injuries.  Instead of stopping to check on the victim, Hallum left his car and ran from the scene of the accident, which led to him being charged with hit and run.

If you have been injured by the negligence of another motorist, now is the time to discuss your legal options with a personal injury lawyer.
