Woman Gets 10 Years for Hitting Pedestrian while DUI

This week, a 47 year old woman from Concord was sentenced with 10 years of jail time after she caused a drunk driving accident that severely injured a pedestrian.

In 2008, a 39 year old was walking at dusk in a crosswalk on Clayton Road and Roslyn drive when she became the victim of a pedestrian accident.  The woman was hit by a sedan operated by Cindy Norma Sayad.  When police arrived at the scene, they found that Sayad's blood alcohol level was .15%, almost twice the state's legal limit.

As a result of the accident, the victim sustained a traumatic brain injury and a leg injury that require the use of a walker or wheelchair.  Her mother now serves as the woman's 24 hour caregiver.

Were you involved in a pedestrian accident that left you injured?  If you said "yes", it is advised that you hire a personal injury lawyer immediately who can help you pursue your legal options.
